Course Description:

Why choose one when you can take two courses? HKU Summer Institute, co-hosted with Fudan University (FDU), has brought to you a new 1+1 multi-location business programme. Two courses, one from HKU and one from FDU, have been selected to foster students’ knowledge of business in China through its two important cities.

The first part of the programme will take place at HKU in Hong Kong. Students will have a better understanding of how digital transformation facilitate a business decision and how they help to develop a superior business management strategy. The second part of the programme will take place at FDU in Shanghai and will equip students to understand China from the inside out via its economy and society. Students will learn from real business environments, meet with top scholars and join various company tours and activities. Upon successful completion, students will gain 3 Fudan credits.

  1. Business Management and Digital Transformation Strategy – A Data Analytics Approach (AICB2020)
  • 2-week course in Hong Kong hosted by HKU Summer Institute
  • Taught by Prof. Baniel Cheung, Adjunct Assistant Professor, Faculty of Business and Economics, HKU
  • Check-in on June 28, 2020 and check-out on July 11, 2020

  • 2-week course in Shanghai hosted by Fudan University

1+1 Programme Fee: HKD 26,500 includes tuition fee of one HKU course and one Fudan course stated in the above; and accommodation at HKU from June 28 – July 10, 2020.

Other Estimated Personal Costs (not included in the programme fee): Self-arranged accommodation at Fudan, meals, insurance fee, transportation fee, cost related to the visa application, etc.

Note:

• Students can access to HKU Facilities including Cafeteria, Main Library, Flora Ho Sports Centre, Learning Commons and University Health Services. Meal expense, service fee and medical cost will be responsible by students.

• Students of non-credit bearing programmes will receive a certificate upon programme completion. Students of credit-bearing programmes can apply a transcript stated with HKU credits, please contact your home institution about the issue related to HKU credits recognition.

• In any case, students are strongly recommended to make their own insurance arrangements throughout the entire period of your programme. Students will be responsible for their own medical and dental costs during the period of the programme. Please refer to here (Point 5) for more information.

• Students of non-credit bearing programmes will receive a certificate upon programme completion. Students of credit-bearing programmes can apply a transcript stated with HKU credits, please contact your home institution about the issue related to HKU credits recognition.
