Course Description:

This course will introduce secondary school students to the exciting field of robotics, with approaches ranging from basic knowledge to hands-on designs and applications. Subjects covered will include basic robot mechanical design and control, 3D printing, commercial drones, and autonomous ground vehicles (AGVs), as well as their operations and motion planning principles. Applications to sensing and exploration of (friendly or hostile) industrial and natural environment will also be discussed.

Programme Schedule:

Monday to Friday (09:30 – 12:30 & 14:30 – 17:30)

You are expected to be punctual for all classes and tutorials. Unexcused cases of lateness may count as absence. Students who fail to achieve an 80% of attendance or absence without legitimate reason and official letterhead proof for the absence will not be awarded the HKU Credits or the Certificate of Completion.
