HKU Summer Institute 2022 Summer Programmes

As we continue to respond to the current Covid-19 outbreak, we regret to inform you that some of our face-to-face programmes for summer 2022 will be suspended or converted to online delivery mode. This is a very difficult decision that we had to make to ensure that your health and safety remain our highest priority.

The most updated programmes available for summer 2022 can be found on the Undergraduate programme list and Secondary School programme list. All online programmes will be conducted primarily via Zoom as the virtual classroom platform. Please ensure that Zoom is accessible in your area before deciding to join our summer programmes as all application fees and programme fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

If you would like to join our online programmes but have not completed the application process, please apply here by February 28, 2022 to enjoy our Early Bird Offer. You can also learn more about our other exclusive discounts here.  Programme acceptance offers will be sent out from March 7, 2022 onwards.  As there is a quota for each class, we encourage you to apply as early as you can for your top choices.

For students who would like to join face-to-face programmes, kindly note that HKU Summer Institute is not responsible for any quarantine, travel scheme, or accommodation arrangements for students. Students entering Hong Kong border for the summer programmes are responsible to comply with all requirements (e.g. quarantine hotel bookings, accommodations, vaccinations, visa applications, etc.) as set out by the HKSAR Government. For more details, please visit https://www.coronavirus.gov.hk/eng/index.html.

By late June, anyone above 18 years of age wishing to enter HKU campus will need to have taken three doses of recognised COVID-19 vaccines, if it has been over nine months since their second dose. Those between 12 to 17 years of age must also have received their second dose if they have had their first dose for more than six months. Non-registered visitors will need to scan the eVT QR code on one of the readers to show they comply with HKU’s enhanced Covid-19 control measures every time when entering the campus. It is obligatory for students/ visitors to meet these requirements and to adhere to HKU’s infection control protocols.
